Basic training in blockchain (the technology and examples of its application)

Open training courses available to all interested parties, regardless of your technical literacy. The aim of the training course is to demonstrate the blockchain technology and the possibilities of its application.

During the course we will discuss:

• the basics of cryptography used in the blockchain,
• distributed ledgers (Distributed Ledger Technology),
• consensus algorithms (Proof of Work, Proof of Stake),
• cryptocurrencies – basic principles, how it works,
• smart contracts as an extension of the cryptocurrency functionality, use of cryptocurrencies and smart contracts in business.

Training duration: 8 hours

Technical training for IT specialists in blockchain technology – become a "Blockchain Engineer".

The aim of the training course is to demonstrate advanced blockchain technology features, including the possibilities and limitations of transaction application, the basics of cryptography, one-way and two-way functions, public key, consensus algorithms and hash functions. During the training sessions we will also talk about cryptocurrencies and rules of writing smart contracts.

Before you enrol in the course it is recommended that you know a programming language (recommended Python, C#, Java, C++)). This is not a prerequisite for participation.

The training course covers also such issues as:

• the basics of cryptography used in blockchain,
• distributed ledgers (Distributed Ledger Technology),
• consensus algorithms (Proof of Work, Proof of Stake),
• workshops on basic cryptographic functions,
• hashing as well as symmetric and asymmetric encryption,
• public-key cryptography,
• building a blockchain in your own application,
• cryptocurrencies – general principles, how it works,
• smart contract – extension of the cryptocurrency functionality,
• bitcoin API as the first step to learn about cryptocurrencies,
• use of smart contracts in business,
• token standards for smart contracts based on the Ethereum example.
